Mobile Phone Speaker Faults
Mobile phone speaker faults are usually easy to diagnose and quite easy to rectify most of the time. Mobile phone speaker faults can be identified by the following symptoms:
- You cannot hear ringtones and/or music.
- Ringtones and/or music is distorted or difficult to understand.
- Ringtones and/or music is too quiet.
- Do the symptoms occur with all of your ringtones and/or music, or do the symptoms occur with only specific ringtones and/or music?. If the symptoms occur with only specific ringtones and/or music, the problem is most likely with the music file.
- Is your volume too low? - Most modern phones have a volume feature, make sure the volume is not turned down.
- Is your phone on 'silent'? - Most modern phones have a 'silent' feature that enables you to silence the phone when in a meeting or other venues where a phones ringtones and/or music would not be appreciated. Check to make sure the 'silent' feature on your phone has not been activated.
- Is something blocking your speaker? - New mobile phones come with protective plastic sheets. The plastic sheets can sometimes obstruct the phones speaker so make sure there is nothing obstructing the phones speaker.
