You will receive your unlocked phone back on Wednesday!
Although most phones can be unlocked without affecting the contents of your phone, some phones require what is known as a 'Testpoint' or 'Flash Patch' procedure. Phones requiring a testpoint or flash patch unlock will lose all information. A detailed description of these unlock procedures can be found below!
What Is A 'Testpoint' or 'Flash Patch' Procedure?
First we must 'Flash' the phone to a specific firmware version. This is much like formatting a computer and re-installing the operating system. All information will be lost (contacts, emails, sms messages, pictures, music, videos, games etc.) therefore you should make a backup of all the information from your phone before sending it to us for unlocking! After flashing the phone we need to remove the phones mainboard and connect testpoint wires to specific points on the mainboard. The mainboard is then connected to our unlocking equipment and the unlocking process is performed. You should be aware that any warranty remaining on your phone will be lost the moment we remove the mainboard!
